Financial Coaching
Hi, I'm Lucy
Financial wellbeing and life coach based in Hampstead, London.
I support people in developing a clearer, more intentional relationship with their money and with themselves.
My work is about building understanding, confidence, and long-term stability in a compassionate and non-judgemental space.
Sessions support the emotional, educational and behavioural side of change, alongside the practical, focused steps, helping you move forward in a way that feels steady and sustainable.
My way of working is Trauma Informed, influenced by Internal Family Systems and Coaching principles.

From self-worth
to net worth
Our relationship with our money and career begins with how we learned to see ourselves as children.
The environments we grow up in, our family, community and the messages we received about security, success, and value, all shape how we relate to money and to our own sense of worth.
These early experiences can influence how we earn, how we spend, how we plan, and how safe we feel in our lives.
My work is about gently bringing awareness to these patterns, while also supporting you in building practical foundations that allow you to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and stability.
My approach is Psychological,
Soulful & Strategic
Why do the work?
This work is ultimately about creating a life that feels more stable, intentional,
and aligned with the direction you want to move in.
By understanding your money patterns and how you arrived in your current reality, and taking practical steps forward, you’re able to make progress and use your resources in ways that better serve your present and the future that you want for yourself and your family.
Discovering money parts...
One approach that has deeply inspired my work is the Internal Family Systems model (IFS).
IFS offers a compassionate and practical framework for understanding human behaviour and inner conflict through what is often called “parts language.” Rather than seeing ourselves as having one fixed voice or identity, IFS recognises that we all contain many different parts of ourselves, each with its own perspective, fears, desires, and protective strategies.
For example, imagine walking through a shopping centre and seeing a beautiful new jacket. One part might immediately say: “That’s amazing, I want that.” Another part may respond just as quickly: “I promised myself I wouldn’t spend money on clothing this week.” A third part might feel indecisive about what to do.
IFS helps us slow down and explore these inner dynamics with curiosity rather than judgement.
This can be especially powerful when working with money and financial decision making. Financial behaviours are rarely just rational calculations, they are often deeply connected to safety, freedom, self worth, and survival. Because money is so closely linked to security, financial situations can activate strong emotional responses and protective patterns within us.
Through this lens, overspending, avoidance, scarcity thinking, financial anxiety, or even overworking can be understood as intelligent strategies developed by different parts of ourselves attempting to protect us in some way.
I find this perspective both humanising and empowering. By becoming more aware of the different parts of ourselves that become activated around money, and learning to integrate them with greater clarity and compassion, we often begin to make more grounded and intentional financial decisions.
